With a dedicated team of 8, we are passionate about excellence, creativity, and craftsmanship. We are seeking an experienced and motivated shop manager to join our team.

Salary and Benefits

• Compensation: Depends on experience

• Health Insurance: United Healthcare (two plan options available), with up to $420/month premium support

• Retirement Plan: American Funds Simple IRA with a dollar-for-dollar match up to 3% of compensation

• Paid Time Off: 4 hours accrual per bi-weekly pay period (13 days/year) up to 136 hours max (17 days/year), plus 3 sick days

Role Overview

The Shop Manager at Notch & Nail will be the cornerstone of our shop operations, bringing projects from conception to completion with a blend of precision, creativity, and leadership. This role demands a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional who excels in managing diverse teams, adhering to budgets and schedules, and fostering a culture of excellence in craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily carpentry tasks, including installation.

• Oversee daily operations, including carpentry tasks and installation processes, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standard.

• Lead, mentor, and train carpenters and shop assistants, cultivating a team-oriented environment.

• Develop strategies to enhance shop efficiency and productivity.

• Maintain consistent communication with team management, ensuring alignment on project objectives and timelines.

• Coordinate and manage project schedules and production workflows.

• Ensure thorough organization and strategic planning throughout all project phases.

• Interpret and implement plans and specifications with accuracy and detail.

• Uphold and elevate our standards of craftsmanship and quality.

• Demonstrate exemplary leadership and a proactive mindset.

• Commit to a clean and efficient shop environment, reflecting our values in every aspect of work.

• Some travel may be required for project oversight and team development.

• A true craftsman with 3+ years experience in carpentry and/or shop management.
